Man, I've been slacking here lately. Blame facebook, blame life being busy, blame my new IPod, but here I am. Briefly. Just to let you know I'm alive. And well, busy! As shown by the following pictures. Enjoy!

I am always amazed by your cakes!!! I had to make a cake for Blue and Gold banquet last week, It was pathetic....I had dreams and aspirations of a cool cake though!!! It's always great to check up on you!! We got a puppy too, my first ever dog. Hope your puppy experience has been good, mine needs some work!
Thanks, Katey! I consider myself slightly insane for my cake obsession. But it's fun insanity!
Oh, the puppy.....I keep half hoping it'll run away. She is finally potty trained - many months later....I desperately need to replace the basement carpet now. Gross smelly dogs. I never had a dog before either. I knew I was a cat person, but thought maybe I would be both. Turns out very much NOT a dog person. But the kids are very attached and love it so we're stuck.
You are funny...I thought I could force myself to be a dog person and well, she is banned from my house, only if she is in her krate is she allowed!!! Even then, only after she is bathed! My kids too are attached, so she'll stick around. The things we do for our kids!
I have an off the wall question for ya..I have a cake decorating friend here, and she wanted me to ask you if you have people sign some sort of a consent form when you do cakes for them?
I don't do contracts. But 75% I do for free or the cost of ingredients for family. The others have been for close friends. I would reccommend a contract though if you are establishing an actual businesss. Have her go to and join www.cakecentral.com. If she searches the forums there she can find all kinds of advice and examples of contracts. And lots of horror stories from people who don't do contracts. Not to mention recipes, ideas, etc.
thanks I'll let her know!!!!
